THREE WAYS FCC CAN SUPPORT YOU

THE COMPLETE FCC MANAGER SUPPORT LIBRARY
Practical tools, step-by-step guidance and real-world resources designed to help you become a stronger, more confident leader in children's residential care.
THE GAP I'VE TRIED TO FILL
Not another folder of theory. Practical guidance you can actually turn to when you need it.
WHAT TO DO. WHEN TO DO IT. HOW TO DO IT WELL.
WHAT'S INSIDE
You don't need to choose which toolkit you need. You get everything.
FROM THE EVERYDAY TO THE DIFFICULT DAYS
Leadership when things are going well. Practical guidance when something happens. Clear thinking when a child raises a concern. Oversight when risk increases. Data to help you see the bigger picture. Reflection to help you improve afterwards.
That’s what I wanted this library to become.
Practical guidance around culture, psychological safety, leadership presence, boundaries, conflict, challenging poor practice, staff wellbeing, accountability and reflective leadership — some of the things I would have found incredibly useful when I first stepped into management.

A Registered Manager can't physically be in the home 24 hours a day. Staff get practical training, examples and grab sheets for serious incidents, missing from home, physical intervention, self-harm and drugs, alcohol & contraband.
What to do → What to record → Who to inform → What to review → What happens next.

COMPLAINTS & ALLEGATIONS MANAGER TOOLKIT
Complaints and allegations can be some of the moments where managers feel the weight of the role most. This toolkit is designed to take some of the uncertainty out of those moments — without trying to make the decision for you.
Listen → Safeguard → Think → Act → Record → Keep the child informed → Review → Learn.
Practical support around child-centred complaint handling, safeguarding and allegation decision-making, recording your rationale, outcomes, repair, management learning, RI oversight and closure.
It's to show the child was heard and safeguarded, the right people were involved, decisions were reasoned and recorded, the child was kept informed and the home learned because they spoke up.
For me, the starting point always has to be the child: Have we listened? Have we understood? Have we made them safe? Have we kept them involved? What have we learned because they spoke up?
Designed to support professional judgement and good oversight — not replace safeguarding procedures, LADO processes, statutory guidance or your organisation's procedures.

Practical support for balancing safety, legal authority, children's rights, least-restrictive practice and management oversight — including admission, restrictions, child voice, review, multi-agency working and step-down planning.
Step-by-step guidance around priority routes, evidence, LA support, Ofsted considerations and the process to follow.
The Monthly Intelligence & Data Tracker brings together incidents, complaints, grumbles, positive outcomes, education, family contact and other indicators to help you spot emerging patterns and strengthen management oversight.
Observed evidence • Emerging pattern • Professional curiosity • Questions for the team

INTERVIEW PREPARATION SUPPORT
RM and RI interviews can feel daunting, even when you know your practice. I created these playbooks to help you slow things down, understand the types of questions you may face and organise what you already know into clear, confident and evidence-based answers.
They aren't scripts to memorise. You get question-based guidance, mental anchors, real examples, practical prompts and structured preparation to help you explain your leadership, practice, oversight and impact when the pressure is on.
FREE PRACTICAL RESOURCE • RM + RI
Better questions. Deeper reflection. Stronger oversight.
A free practical pack for Registered Managers, developing managers and Responsible Individuals who want a simple structure for reviewing incidents more meaningfully and evidencing their professional thinking.

BUILT AROUND HOW I APPROACH OVERSIGHT
The pack is built around the way I approach oversight myself — considering the wider context around the child, their experience, the staff response, what we've learned and what should actually be different because of that learning.
The aim isn't to make incident reviews longer. It's to make them more meaningful — looking at what the records tell us, what else may have been unfolding around the child, and making sure learning actually leads somewhere. Professional curiosity should never be presented as proven causation without evidence.
WHY I CREATED IT
I've put this together around the way I approach incident oversight myself. I don't want to simply know that an incident happened and the paperwork was completed. I want to understand what was happening around the child, how they may have experienced the situation, how we responded and what we've actually learned from it.
Having a consistent structure has really helped me with that thinking. If you're a newer manager, developing deputy or RI and it gives you a little more structure or confidence in your own oversight, then it's doing exactly what I wanted it to do.
— DamonFIND THIS USEFUL?
The Reflective Incident Oversight Pack gives you a feel for the practical, step-by-step approach I use throughout the Manager Support Library — across leadership, incident response, complaints & allegations, DoL practice, Ofsted priority guidance, interview preparation, management tools and more.
WHY £50?
I originally created many of these as individual packages. But the more I thought about it, selling everything separately wasn't really aligned with what I wanted this to become.
I wanted to support managers. I wanted an aspiring Deputy, a new RM or someone without loads of senior support around them to have somewhere practical to turn — without needing a huge company training budget.
So I've brought everything together.
No complicated packages. No deciding which resource you need. Just practical support designed to help you keep developing.
BUILT BY SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THE REALITY
I've spent 11 years in children's residential care, progressing through practice and management into Responsible Individual oversight. FCC grew from the things I've found genuinely useful along the way — clear thinking, experienced perspective, examples and tools that help turn knowledge into practice.

INDEPENDENT EXTERNAL SUPERVISION
Direct reflective leadership support for Registered Managers and developing leaders who want challenge as well as support outside the day-to-day operational noise.
Professional written supervision record included.
Face-to-face sessions are available locally, with travel agreed depending on location.
Support that strengthens your thinking rather than taking the manager's role away from you.
YOUR FEEDBACK GENUINELY HELPS
FCC is something I'm continuing to build around what managers, deputies and RIs actually find useful. Tell me what helped, what could be better or what you'd like to see next.
I read every response — and I'll use them to keep improving what I create.
